I contacted Kristin after someone recommended her to see if I qualify for any state assistance as my monthly income is only $969 per month. I was also paying the monthly $170.10 Part B Premium.  At the time I only had straight Medicare and no prescription plan. I had no medical issues so didn't know what medical expenses I could face. Kristin informed me that I had not enrolled in Part D when I turned 65 and could face a penalty but given my income I qualified for Medicaid which would allow the penalty to be waived.  She met with me and assisted with the Medicaid and Part B state application and then I joined a plan from UHC.  2 months later I needed to be treated for an infection on my head and then began to have hip issues that ended up being bursitis. Had I not met with Kristin I would be facing bills for ER, hip surgery and all of the appointments and tests I had. My medicaid covered it all and I was even able to get a shower chair with my store benefit. Thank you Kristin you helped me just in time!

I've know Kristin for more than 10 years as a Resident Serrvice Coordinator in housing.  I was at first sad to know she was leaving her role, however as a Medicare Advisor she helped me immensely. I have Medicaid and had no costs but was made aware of something called a Dual plan which provided me more benefits than a Medicare Advantage plan.
